It wasn't that long ago that tv stations had local programming that was worth watching. As a kid I had Fritz the Nite Owl in Columbus and Superhost and Big Chuck on Cleveland TV. Fritz the Nite Owl and Superhost left the airwaves a long time ago and now Big Chuck hangs it up too. The Cleveland Plain Dealer has a nice article today: http://www.cleveland.com/tv/plaindealer/index.ssf?/base/entertainment-0/118241489436950.xml&coll=2
Here's a related article on the folks that helped Big Chuck stay on the air for so long:http://www.cleveland.com/tv/plaindealer/index.ssf?/base/entertainment-0/118241524836950.xml&coll=2
The Old Man of Metal has made his presence known and tipped me off to a story in todays Columbus Dispatch on the best rock n' roll band in the world, American Dog. Read this article and then make plans to go see them IMMEDIATELY. http://dispatch.com/dispatch/content/life/stories/2007/06/21/1A_AMERICANDOG.ART_ART_06-21-07_D1_3Q72GAA.html
