S'March of Metal:Voivod - The Tower

Voivod is a band you either love, or you hate...there is no middle ground with these guys. A lot of people thought Jason Newstead was crazy when he left Metallica to join up with these guys but after the BS of the Metallica documentary, who could blame him? Plus, unlike Metallica, Voivod never sold out.

I'd pick Voivod over Metallica any day of the week.

Metallica and Queensryche are two bands that I cannot listen to anymore. For the past 10 years the complete ear crap they call music has poisoned my love of even their good material. I flip thru my ipod and see Master of Puppets or The Warning and just cringe and pass on by.

You have to work hard to get on my musical shit list but once you are there, it's damned near impossible to get off.

I feel the same way. For awhile I thought it was me. I gave up on both bands at the time of their biggest commercial success (the Black Album and Empire) but then I realized that it wasn't me, it was them. Lars Ulrich is public enemy number one in my book. In fact, I should post all my grievances against the little ass clown before the month is up.

Geoff Tate is up there on my hit list too. I was never a big fan of Queensryche mainly because I thought they landed their contract and fame too easily. They never had to work for it by slogging it out on the stage for years. When I saw Mindcrime II I busted up laughing. Who do they think they are? Meat Loaf?
