One of my all time favorite bands bringing it back again with their first tour in 15 years...with not one single tour date east of Kansas City.
Back in business thanks to a government bailout.

This Pat Tillman story is also incredibly tragic...Rummy takes the stand and says nothing:http://www.nytimes.com/2007/08/02/washington/02tillman.html?_r=1&adxnnl=1&oref=slogin&adxnnlx=1186061336-S/Ve6nVe4rZPzzG3oQBVFQ
Considering my daughter has every Dora the Explorer toy ever made, I had a moment of panic when I learned Fisher Price planned to recall a million toys due to lead based paint...fortunately hers were purchased prior to May 2007.....first it was killer tooth paste, now its lead based paint in childrens toys...Are the Chinese trying to kill Americans thru commerce?:http://breakingnews.nypost.com/dynamic/stories/C/CHINA_TOY_RECALL?SITE=NYNYP&SECTION=HOME
Barry Bonds is still waiting to catch Hank Aaron. While I hate Bonds, I'm more angry at MLB then with Bonds. The league and the players union turned a blind eye to steroids. They enabled Bonds, Sosa, and others of their ilk to cheat in order to sell the game. Keep in mind Bonds isn't the only homerun king who was able to boost his stats on an unlevel playing field. Babe Ruth never had to face African Americans in his playing days. Oh to be at Chavez Ravine booing Bonds:http://www.latimes.com/sports/la-sp-scene2aug02,0,648309.story?coll=la-home-center

Can you solve the mystery of the wax museum? Someone depants Hitler and FDR and swiped Phil Lynotts guitar (and by the way if you ever get to see BBC Crown Jewels featuring Thin Lizzy on VH1 Classic, you'll come away convinced they were one of the greatest rock bands EVER):http://knac.com/article.asp?ArticleID=5735

Rob Zombie's Halloween (2007) Theatrical Trailer
Later this month Rob Zombie's reimagining of John Carpenters classic Halloween hits the big screen. The Halloween series is a guilty pleasure of mine. The first one is a classic piece of suspense and horror, but all the others are awful and loathsome....yet I can never turn away when they're on. I suspect the Zombie film is going to be terrible, like Tim Burton's Planet of the Apes awful...but I still plan to see it.

Great Moments in Sports
This week we pay homage to Ray "Boom Boom" Mancini the pride of Youngstown. Nice compilation of his famous fights set to Warren Zevon's tribute song. And yes....the video does include the knockout that took the life of Duk Koo Kim. I remember watching that fight with my Dad as a kid...incredibly brutal bout.
Manowar-Hail and Kill
Should have put this up earlier today with the Motorhead video. Manowar defines metal.
White Hot Wednesday
Rawlings became the latest company to dump Michael Vick as a corporate pitchman....don't fret Mike...I'm sure Hushpuppies will give you a plump offer!

CNN gives Darth Cheney airtime last night on crazy old man Larry Kings show. I'm sure the two of them shared stories about their heart problems off the air. If Dick had shot Larry in the face it might have been worthwhile viewing. Alas, all it was was an hour of lies:http://www.cnn.com/2007/POLITICS/07/31/cheney.lkl/index.html

I'm amazed their isn't a Kiss amusement park yet....or that Gene Simmons hasn't charged fans 20 bucks to visit his house....call it Geneland or something...Elvis's house Graceland is getting a makeover to make it more appealing to those who come to check out what crappy decorating sense Elvis had:http://www.billboard.com/bbcom/news/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1003619070

Motorhead - R.A.M.O.N.E.S
With the exception of maybe Manowar, has any band ever been more Metal than Motorhead? Three chords and a cloud of dust thats what Motorhead does best. Bang your head, pump your fist, and celebrate the essence of Lemmy!
